At Friðheimar, we grow tomatoes all year round, despite Iceland’s long, dark winters under artificial lighting in greenhouses.

We offer double or twin rooms with private bathrooms, towels and bed linen. Hot tub on the terrace, private bathroom, and kitchen. A spacious and comfortable cottage suitable for 8 adults and 2 children. Private bathroom, kitchen facilities, and a cozy terrace.

Friðheimar is very much a family affair, run by Knútur Rafn Ármann and his wife Helena Hermundardóttir.

We also breed horses, and put on a horse show – in fourteen languages. We welcome visitors to see our greenhouses, casino and then enjoy a taste of the crop. Their five children, Dóróthea, Karítas, Matthías Jens, Arnaldur and Tómas Ingi, all play an active part in the family business.
